Trees and Hedging

At Wetley Moor Tree Nursery, we germinate our stratified seeds in tree cells, which offer several advantages, including enhanced root development, year-round planting flexibility, and increased resistance to transplant shock. We source our seed stock from a reputable supplier in Shropshire, who follows strict biosecurity procedures that are independently monitored and comply with approved EU standards. Once they have developed strong roots, our cell-grown plants are carefully transplanted into 3-,10- and 20-litre containers. For species that thrive in natural conditions, we grow them directly in the field, encouraging robust growth and greater resilience to the elements. These trees and hedging are available for sale and can be lifted once they have safely entered their dormancy period.
